Pietro Adélaïde di Caspiani, simply known as Caspiani, is a wizard living in Panje, Gostion. Former adventuring hero among Jarsali's Company, he now only occasionally works for the Society of Brilliance, and spends most of time studying the weave in his tower.
Pietro Adélaïde di Caspiani was born in the kingdom of Posada from a family of Wizards. His grandmother Mêlie Adélaïde is rumored to have immigrated from Caupona to join Posad Thèbre and work to restore the link between the magic weave and our plane of existence, moving with her husband, Gerald di Caspiani, family. Pietro therefore studied magic in one of the arcane schools of the country. He remains an unremarkable practitionner, distinguishing himself only for his assiduity to class.
As of his lack of talent in the magical arts, Caspiani saw himself restricted to being a mercenary unlike most of his peers careering as court wizards. He would sell his services to adventuring parties looking for a cheap magic user. He discovered the world beyond Posada through these adventures. During one of his campaigns exploraing an old temple for a wealthy merchant, attracted by promises of expansive religious artifact, Caspiani and his teammates met with dangers beyond their strengths. As his team was quickly demised, Pietro found himself blocked the collapsing temple as he was trying to flee. Panicked and searching for a way out, Caspiani accidentally awakened the extra-planar beast the temple was dedicated to and it crashed into the young magician. The impact destroyed the beast and left Caspiani transformed, forever touched by the weave.
Despite his newfound powers after his incident in the temple, Caspiani refused to betray his freedom by becoming a court mage as his most prestigious peers did. He continued on the path of mercenary, his great abilities allowing him more dangerous missions and better pay. In 364, after a few decades living this life, he met with a merciless elven mercenary: Athrielle. He physical strengh and her fighting skills were a great match for Caspiani. They built together a reputation for slaying monsters and attracted themselves the favors of the Mijin elites, looking for powerful heroes to fight against their enemies.Despite the great rewards appealing to Pietro, Athrielle always refused to partake in any political rivalry, afraid to relapse in her past mistakes.
