Line is a mysterious individual often accompanying Caspiani and Athrielle on their adventures. They are a middle-aged Darkling Bard. Most of their time is spent in Panje meditating, browsing Caspiani's collection of books or in art exhibitions.

Line and Caspiani met quickly after the latter started spending time with the Society of Brilliance, Line still is the sole darkling member of the society on Mijin. They first worked together in researching golem summoning as a way to protect the society from attackers and burglars.
